ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

Lunga House—our venue—has thirteen bedrooms, eight of these can be doubles or twins and some have extra beds. All are en suite.
The rates are as follows: "The charge per person, per night for B&B is £40.00, based on minimum of two sharing a room (£70 single occupancy)."
There are also three cottages on the grounds: Coachman (accommodating 6), Lovett (4) and Crawford (2).
And Lunga also has a cottage in the village that accommodates 6.
Attendees may may extend their stay to include Tuesday onward and after the event until Wednesday.
For bookings or questions: Our office number is 01294 279597 where bookings can be made and paid for by card. E-mail: gillianhqbookings@aol.co.uk.
The owner and our main contact is Meg Macleod. E-mail: stay@lunga.com

NOTE: The rooms and cottages at Lunga House and at the pub in Craobh Haven are now fully booked by those attending the SouthPole-sium.

Here are some photos I took of the bedrooms in November:

OTHER OPTIONS

Loch Shuna Lodges Jane and Falcon Scott's self-catering lodges, appropriately named Terra Nova, Discovery and Morning. They are located on Eilean Buidhe, a small island connected to the mainland by a causeway and a short walk or drive from the center of Craobh Haven and Lunga House.
The lodges rent from Saturday-to-Saturday or Tuesday-to-Tuesday for week-long stays or from Saturday-to-Tuesday and Tuesday-to-Saturday for half-week stays. (The Tuesday-to-Tuesday option would be best for attendees.)

Craobh Haven Cottages, in the village.

Corrie House, a luxury B&B close to Craobh Haven.

Kilmartin Hotel, in Kilmartin, about 10 miles southwest of Craobh Haven. There's a museum and a church across the road.

Loch Melfort Hotel, just a mile or two from Craobh Haven on the way to Oban. High end.

Crinan Hotel, at the mouth of the canal.

Some other options—and some of the ones above—are described here. (Thanks to Sally Larsen who came upon this.)
