ANTARCTIC TRADE CARDS

No 299. No. 1 In Antarctic Adventure Series 2, issued by Sanitarium cereal New Zealand in a series of 20 in 1987. The Dick Smith Explorer anchors at the pack edge. Size: circa 2.875" x 2.125." (Dick Smith founded Australian Geographic magazine after making his fortune in the consumer electronics retail business).
Recto: The Dick Smith Explorer three-masted ship puts out ice anchor.
Verso: ANTARCTIC ADVENTURE Card No. 1 Approaching Antarctica, the pack-ice closes in. Anchoring is simple for smaller ships. Just secure the boat to a floe. A colour project poster is obtainable from your local food stores or by sending a 33-cent stamp to the nearest Sanitarium Office (addresses on the top of the pack). SWAP with friends or post us one card for any card you need (stating its number) and enclose a stamped, addressed envelope.
To attach the card to your Antarctic Adventure poster, use either tape or collector's stamp hinges -- available from your newsagent.
